It’s our second to last blog in the “Addition Problems” series, and this time we’re talking about Communication! Communication is one of the biggest ways to avoid many other problems down the line, so today we want to discuss why exactly it’s so important, what it can do to help things run smoothly, and what we’re doing here at Valiant to make sure it happens clearly and frequently with our clients.
So communication, more specifically a lack of communication, can be a big problem. When it is not clearly expressed and when it is not made crystal clear to you what is happening with your project, you can easily begin to feel frustrated! Even worse, it can lead to misunderstandings and errors in the work that is being done, which is the last thing we want to happen!
Considering this, not only is it important you communicate with us what you want and need, it’s also important that we communicate with you and that we do it clearly and frequently. It’s critical that the communication goes both ways.
One way we are making sure to do that on our end is to tailor our communication approach with each individual client. For example, for certain clients and projects, we can actually set up weekly onsite meetings where we go over what we’ve done, what we’re doing next, and what decisions we need you to make in order for the work to progress.
And that’s not the only thing we’re doing to keep the communication lines open! Apart from regular texts and phone calls, we also rely on video conferencing. Our owner James actually did a Zoom call today with a client to help understand the possibilities for their project. Many of our clients are often so busy, offering to do a quick Zoom call so we can walk through the space and see the things that need to be addressed is a great way to make sure we stay on top of things and that we are communicating with our clients about what they are seeing and what they need.
And this isn’t JUST for existing clients. We also do this for potential customers! If you’ve been wanting to get a bid, or just want to explore your options, give us a call, email us, or get in contact with us whichever way you prefer and we can help you understand your options!
In addition to these traditional forms of communication, our owner James also does a fair amount of video updates that he sends to clients. This allows him to share everything that is going on with a client’s project, without having to type up a super long email or text (because we know everyone hates reading emails that are paragraphs long)!
And those are just a few of the things we are doing to make sure you always know what is going on with your project. As this blog post hopefully illustrated, communication is incredibly important to the success of your project. Not only does it help you feel involved in the process and help you make the decisions you need to make more easily, it also helps us to make sure we’re doing the work exactly how you want it done. When we can help you communicate exactly what you want, everybody is happy!
